This component and plugin can modify / change your modules acording to user cookie. It serves in order to promote more relevant content and lead thus user to conversion.
Insert your email address. Download link will be sent to this email address.
Primary purpose of the component is to increase your conversions.
You can have as many user groups as you want.
Modules are assigned to specific group via simple select in module assignment.
Users are divided into groups based on URL visited - if user visits /thank-u-1 -> goes into group 1, if user visits /thank-u-2 -> goes into group 2
You have a website to sell the software, however primary conversion on your website is "trial" - so you promo "get a trial" everywhere.
After the trial you want your visitors to make a purchase, but if they come to your site, they see everywhere "get a trial" which is in this moment irrelevant for them, since they have already registered for the trial.
They should see "purchase software now" as the primary conversion.
And this is exactly what component does. It can change modules according to user's cookie:
- New user, without any specific cookie sees module with "get a trial"
- User who has already registered for the trial (visited after trial "thank you page") sees module with "purchase software now"

Groups and rules
After installation, define your groups and rules at Inbound Marketing component.
Group is defined only by the group name and rules are defined by URL value. The URL value is any part of URL which someone can visit. Here are two examples so you get the idea:
- If I want every user who visits this www.yourweb.com/download-our-free-e-book to be part of a group "E-book downloaders", create this group with rule "download-our-free-e-book" or "free-e-book".
- If I want every user who click the link from your email campaign to be part of group "Email Campaign 43", add to the link in the email some identificator. For example www.yourweb.com/products/pink-bike?email-campaign-43. To the group "Email Campaign 43", create the rule "email-campaign-43".
The Inbound plugin will add a new tab to the Advanced Module Manager where you can set for which groups should the module appear and for which it should hide. If you leave these options blank, the module will behave normally.
How does it work?
The plugin controls every URL visited by someone. When some part of the URL fulfills any rule, the information about the group is stored to the cookie. This cookie information is stored in user's browser for 3 months.
Then the plugin reads groups information from the cookie and allows to display or hide modules for this group.
